Who will deliver my order?

In New Zealand, our sole carrier is NZ Post.

The tracking link in your shipping confirmation email(s) will take you directly to the carrier’s website to track your package. You can also track your package online here.

Can I change my delivery address after my order has been placed?

Unfortunately you cannot change your delivery address once your order has been placed.

Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, it may be possible for the carrier to change your delivery address or redirect your order. Please contact the carrier directly.

If your order can’t be delivered it will be returned to Kmart. A refund will then be processed back into your account within 3-5 business days. If you still wish to purchase the same items, you can place another order online or purchase the items in store.

What is authority to leave?

In the Kmart checkout, by default you give us authority to leave your package. This allows our carriers to leave the package unattended at your address without a signature. If you do not wish for your package to be left unattended, you can select ‘I require a signature on delivery.' Please note:

  •  If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the package unattended

  •  Kmart will not be responsible for any lost or stolen packages where you have given us authority to leave your package.

I gave authority to leave, but the carrier didn’t leave my package. Why?

Safely delivering your package is our carrier’s top priority. If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the package unattended. Please refer to our carrier’s website for more information.

What if I’m not home when my order arrives?

If you selected ‘I require a signature on delivery’ at checkout and you are not home to sign for your parcel, our carrier will leave a note with the next steps to retrieve your package.

If you did not select ‘I require a signature on delivery’ at checkout, our carrier will leave your package unattended in a safe spot at your address.

If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave your package unattended. Please refer to our carrier’s website for more information.

Will I have to sign for my delivery?

You will only be required to sign for your delivery if you select ‘I require a signature on delivery’ at checkout. If you did not select ‘I require a signature on delivery’ at checkout, our carrier will leave your package unattended in a safe spot at your address.

I didn’t pick up my package from the collection point, and it’s been returned to Kmart. What happens now?

Once your package is returned to Kmart, we’ll refund the cost of the items, excluding the non-refundable delivery fee.

The carrier has not delivered my order due to access issues to my address. Why has this happened when your website allowed me to use that address in the checkout?

In rare cases, the carrier not be able to deliver to certain addresses that are deemed to be unsafe, inaccessible, or in certain rural or remote areas. For example, if you have a very steep driveway or access is via a narrow dirt road. In these instances, our carriers may not be aware of the issue until they attempt the delivery.

We acknowledge that failed deliveries are disappointing for our customers and ask that if you do live in a location which is difficult to access, please use the delivery address of a local post office or news agency to collect your order from.
